THE AVEMORE GROUP After working in key positions in the financial sector in India, Nepal and Singapore, Gopal Padia was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug which made him establish the Avemore Group in 1994. A qualified chartered accountant, Gopal forayed into the non-ferrous metals sector successfully and soon diversified the Group into other areas such as railway equipment and machinery, railway labour contracting, steel, food products, construction material, machinery and equipment. Employing more than 300 people, the Group is headquartered in Singapore and has offices in the UK, Middle East and the Indian sub-continent. The Group includes Gates PCM and Whitewater East which runs a successful multi-cuisine cafe at a prominent business location in Singapore. Gates PCM performs each and every function such as foundation, pilling, construction, designing, consulting for railway construction and equipment. Further, GATES designs, builds & supplies tools and equipment. It also relieves the burden of the client from tedious and time consuming tasks of total labour comp management including personnel selection and hiring, meeting workers statutory provisions, accommodation, welfare, food, transportation and social needs.
